Why Was Carlton Gebbia Fired From 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'?

As she and husband Michael enjoyed a Memorial Day Weekend vacation overseas, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was alerted to the break-in by a maid on site, and able to watch the entire thing play out on her phone's security app.

'RHOBH' Star Joyce Giraud Watched Her Home Burglarized While On Vacation

Giraud was brough aboard the cast of Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the series' fourth season, along with Carlton Gebbia. However, the two women lasted just one season on the reality show before getting the axe.

"Joyce and Carlton just didn’t resonate as much as the other ladies did. The fans didn't respond to them so it didn't make sense to keep them around," a source told PEOPLE Magazine at the time of their exits, adding that their firing "was a long time coming."

"Joyce and Carlton are disappointed to not be returning but they understand that it's best for the show," the source explained. "They had a great run and both of them are happy with the opportunity."

On the show, Giraud spent the majority of her time feuding with Brandi Glanville, who has remained on the show as an official housewife in the years since.
