Joe Mantegna, who plays David Rossi in Criminal Minds, and Esai Morales, who portrays Mateo Cruz, talked about working on the CBS procedural in a recent AMA Reddit interaction with fans.

'Fun Guest Star' To Replace Jennifer Love Hewitt In Season 11?

The duo answered questions about everything under the sun, even answering questions about the 2016 presidential elections and why they haven't worked with Martin Scorsese yet. When asked stuff about season 11, Mantegna was quite tight-lipped but let a few minor things slip.

For instance when asked if Page Brewster, who plays Emily Prentiss on the show, would return for season 11, Mantegna strongly suggested that it was very likely:

"Well, there's been talk of - there's a chance Paget may make an appearance now and again. Eric our producer mentioned it in an interview that there's a possibility that Paget may return from time to time."

In related news, there has been no word about the contract renewals of the cast members that play the main characters on the show. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Messer allayed concerns of any more exits after Jennifer Love Hewitt was bid farewell in the finale of season 10. "I would not be worried about it. I really wouldn't. We have such a strong group together for so many years. I think season 11 is going to be a continuation of that," she said.

Messer had also revealed that A. J. Cook, who plays Jennifer Jareau, might not be there for the first few episodes as she will be a new mother.

The finale of Criminal Minds aired on May 6.
