She successfully staged a coup which got her a job as the CEO of Mad World after she lost her job at DiMera, even though it cost her a relationship with her son in the process, but Kate (Lauren Koslow) is now going to be in for a big surprise once again on Days of Our Lives.  

Victor Worries About Payback From Stefano

She successfully managed to get her job by slyly mentioning to Victor (John Aniston) that Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) and Adrienne (Judi Evans) were sleeping together, which led to Lucas' dismissal from the company. However, the move only succeeded in alienating Kate from her son, and much to everyone's disapproval, the affair is still ongoing with the two, especially since Adrienne has determined her marriage to Justin (Wally Kurth) is over.  

Now though, despite being the one who alerted Victor to the brewing scandal involving his family, Kate will find herself being used as a pawn in his plan to make things extremely difficult in his unfaithful daughter-in-law's new relationship.  At Victor's insistence, Kate will be forced to work alongside Justin in an effort to make Mad World the top cosmetics company in Salem.

Victor's plan will not only ensure that Justin stays in town (therefore forcing Adrienne to still deal with her husband), but it will also ensure that things remain awkward for both she and Lucas. Lucas will be livid that his mother is working with the other man in Adrienne's life, while Adrienne will be so shocked by the duo's partnership that she could wind up becoming confused by who she wants to actually be with.  

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
