The 100's Jaha went a little off the reservation as he searched for the City of Light, but the former Ark Chancellor might not have left all of his morality up among the stars.

'The 100' Season 3: Premiere Script Completed, Jason Rothenberg Teases Spring Return

When you manage to shock the notoriously amoral (but improving) Murphy (Richard Harmon), it's safe to say you've probably crossed a line. Jaha (Isaiah Washington) did just that as season 2 come to close, but showrunner Jason Rothenberg contends that the wayward traveler still believes he is doing what's right.

"He believes he's been called," Rothenberg cryptically told a fan on Thursday. "Maybe he has."

'The 100' Season 3: Uninterrupted Run Promised For Midseason? Jason Rothenberg Explains

What Jaha does know for sure, however, is that the City of Light is not at all the Promised Land he thought he was seeking. Instead, Washington's character has stumbled upon a very warlike AI and given her some new ammo to boot (see video below). Viewers should be prepared to delve further into this issue when season 3 begins.

"Certainly, we haven't even told close to the whole story yet but there's enough for the audience to piece together that the A.I. is the thing that ultimately ended the world even though Jaha and Murphy don't know that yet," Rothenberg told E! Online. "You can assume as they go forward, they will figure things out and the questions are: Will Jaha come to look at Alie as the divine thing that he's been looking for?"
