She has been hiding out since being made to believe that Rick (Jacob Young) no longer wanted her as his wife following her public outing as transgender, but Maya (Karla Mosley) may now learn what really happened the night she left Big Bear on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Brooke Encourages Rick To Leave Maya

After Rick appeared to accept her secret, he suddenly acted more poorly when he realized the story had gone public--causing Maya to flee. He chased after her, but was in a car accident along the way. Maya was unaware and believes he no longer wants to marry her because his car phone disconnected their call during his accident. Maya has since gone into hiding at her old apartment, and won't return any of Rick's calls or listen to his messages, and has resigned from Forrester.

However, one person still knows her well enough to know where she is--and he will go to her and try to figure out how to get her to come out of hiding, despite her feeling like she's now a laughingstock to the press.

Maya Makes A Painful Decision About Her Future

"Bill Spencer wanted to make me the punchline of a very public joke and he did," Maya says to Carter (Lawrence St Victor) in a preview clip for the Friday, May 28 episode.

However, anything he says still proves not to work on Maya, who also admits that she resigned not just because of the public humiliation she's been forced to endure, but because she is under the impression Rick wants nothing to do with her anymore--and that makes it too painful to work alongside him.

"It's too painful to be around Rick if I'm not his wife," she says to Carter in the clip.

As a result, Carter may disclose the truth to Maya--possibly changing how things work out for her and Rick in the future as a result.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
