Her identity has had everyone convinced that she is someone else entirely, but but truth about Denise DeMuccio could finally be revealed on General Hospital.

Sonny Confronts 'Denise'

Since she arrived at Julian's (William DeVry) apartment looking exactly like the believed dead Ava Jerome (Maura West) with a dark haired wig and thick New York accident, no one has believed she is who she claims to be. The case of her identity being questioned included her arrest as the assumed Ava for Connie Falconeri's murder--and a visit from Sonny (Maurice Benard) at the police station. Still, she has stuck to her story that she is not Ava, despite everything about her that seems suspicious--including a lack of fingerprints and a rose tattoo where she should have a scar from being shot.

Now, the DNA test results are in--and the truth is set to come out--until Denise tries to change the outcome at the last minute.

Elizabeth Nearly Reveals She Knows Jake's Real Identity

"Wait! you can't open that," she says to Lucas (Ryan Carnes) in the clip.

If she is proven to really be Ava, it will not only seal her fate and force her back to Pentonville, but it will also require her to explain to her loved ones, like her daughter, Kiki (Hayley Erin), why she let them believe she was dead for so long when she clearly wasn't.

If she is proven to be Ava and has to explain herself, she will also need to reveal that Silas (Michael Easton) had rescued her and nursed her back to health, only to reveal she was dying of cancer--and her wishes to have him kill her with drugs. However, being alive would prove he had done something else--and the mystery of just what happened to Sonny and Ava's daughter Avery when she went missing would also potentially be resolved.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
