The number of familiar faces returning to Salem for the 50th anniversary of Days of Our Lives continues to grow, with more beloved characters set to join Bo, Sami, and others as they head back to the fictional town for a big celebration.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Jason Cook has officially signed on to return as Shawn Brady, and has begun taping for the special episodes set to air in November. Joining him in returning throughout the year are his on-screen father, Bo (Peter Reckell), Steve 'Patch' Johnson (Stephen Nichols), fan favorite Sami Brady (Allison Sweeney), Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), and Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus).

His return of course has spurred several rumors of other members of his TV family also returning for the anniversary--specifically, his on-screen wife, Belle Black (Martha Madison), though her return has not been confirmed and she has been busy working on Winterthorne.

It is also currently unclear what will bring Shawn back to Salem exactly, or how long he will stick around for, though his return coupled with his father's should present some interesting new drama for Hope (Kristian Alfonso), who has been dealing mainly with small hiccups in her new relationship with Aiden Jennings (Daniel Cosgrove) working for Clyde Weston (James Read). The return of the husband she chose to divorce so she could pursue her new relationship is sure to stir up some trouble for her, and there is a chance his son could also present some issues as well.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
