Dancing With the Stars co-host Erin Andrews had no idea that Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff were going to breakup.

Andrews recently spoke with E! News about the big Bachelor breakup, admitting that she did not know it was going to happen at all.

"I had no idea because I follow it just like everybody else does on Twitter," Andrews said. "I think [Whitney] posted for the six-month anniversary of the proposal so this was a shock to me."

Soules had been a contestant on Dancing With the Stars this spring and danced all the way to fifth place with his partner, Witney Carson. With Soules concentrating most of his time on DWTS, there was possibly some strain in his relationship with Bischoff.

Andrews suggested that Bischoff was so supportive of Soules during Dancing With the Stars that she was blindsided by the announcement.

"I was shocked," she said, upon reading the news on Twitter. "I'm a geek on Twitter and I was like, 'breaking news you guys!' She was around our studio a lot on Mondays and Tuesdays so I had no idea this was coming."

It is not known if Soules' dedication to Dancing With the Stars is what helped facilitate the split. The former Bachelor couple announced their breakup on Thursday.

Dancing With the Stars returns for another season in the fall on ABC. It will return to its regular Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.
