Although, there is no telling if Ronda Rousey is reprising her role in Fast and Furious 8, the mixed martial artist, who dabbles with acting, does have a worthy opponent in mind for her character Kara.

The Wire's Idris Elba To Join Fast and Furious 8?   

In Furious 7, Rousey went up against Michelle Rodriguez, and got her butt kicked by Rodriguez's Letty Ortiz. In an interview with MTV, when asked who she thought would make for a strong enemy in the next installment, Rousey picked someone from her professional realm.

"Joanna [Jedrzejczyk]. She's a chick who just won the 115-pound belt," Rousey said. "She's really tiny and skinny, but she's such a little ninja! I think it would be a such a cool addition - someone who looks really unassuming. I know I look good in a Herve Leger dress, but I also look like I could still kill you in it, and Joanna doesn't!"

One of the other latest developments related to the movie is that Jason Statham, who played the antagonist, Deckard Shaw, in Furious 7, will be returning for the sequel. While talking about his filming schedule with Den of Geek, the actor revealed that he had to plan it according to the production dates for Fast and Furious 8. "There's Fast 8, they want to do another one," he said.

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.
