Dancing With the Stars pro Mark Ballas is still upset about being eliminated so early from the competition this season.

Ballas, who was partnered with Willow Shields for season 20, was shocked when they were eliminated in seventh place this spring. Despite high scores from the judges and innovative dances, America just did not vote for them enough to take them further in the competition.

Now, Ballas spoke with RadarOnline in a new interview, along with his mother Shirley Ballas about his elimination and much more.

Is 'Dancing With the Stars' to Blame for Chris Soules' Broken Engagement?

"I thought Willow got the short end of the stick," Mark said. "It wasn't fair . . . I guess when people vote they thought since we had such high scores from the judges that they thought 'she'll be alright.'"

Mark stressed the importance of voting when it comes to keeping your favorites in the competition.

"People love the show, watch and root for people but they don't vote," Mark explained.

Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy wound up winning the season and Shirley believes that Willis' A-list parents and all their connections are what helped push her over the top.

"They networked. The whole family did their homework. It was great and amazing for them. And they got all their A-list friends to help. She definitely deserved it," Shirley said.

Despite this, Mark admitted that there were no hard feelings, saying of Willis, "She was awesome."

Ballas will likely be back next season with a new partner and another chance at winning the Mirrorball trophy.

Dancing With the Stars returns for another season in September on ABC, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
