For the longest time Ciara was tipped to be the next Janet Jackson and even though she's got the moves, it doesn't look like she's got the right material to make her the next big icon. The singer's latest album playlist isn't impressing the critics, with many calling it both "stale" and "desperately in need of better material."

According to the Los Angeles Times, critic Gerrick Kennedy explains that Ciara is a fantastic performer, as she has been getting rave reviews for her dance moves during her cross-country tour right now, but unfortunately she could do a little better in the hit department.

He writes, "Recent albums have seen her experiment with more electronic textures, to varied results. He added, "Generic party starter "That's How I'm Feeling" really could have been done by anyone - in fact, a version from an equally capable female singer has languished on the Internet for years - and even seeing the song realized with dancers and a band didn't make it more interesting."

Earlier this month, Ciara admitted that her new boyfriend Russell Wilson is one of the smartest people she's ever met.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Ciara didn't confirm that she is in a relationship with the Seattle Seahawks star, but she didn't deny it, either. In fact, she did say that she is definitely enjoying the ride she's been on lately.

She gushed, "Is it a big secret? I don't know. You know, life is amazing. And I'm really enjoying myself. He's just an amazing guy, and he's really an awesome person ... very, very intelligent."
