Channing Tatum is slated to be announced as "Sexiest Man Alive of 2012" by People.

The "Magic Mike" star is expected to be unveiled as the celebrity weekly's cover choice when the issue hits newsstands on November 14, according to Gossip Cop.

"Hangover" star Bradley Cooper was last year's choice, and Ryan Reynolds earned the nod in 2010.

Tatum has appeared in the "Sexiest Man Alive" issue before but was not the top choice.

When asked to confirm the rumor, People magazine told Gossip Cop, "We never comment on who the Sexiest Man Alive is until the issue is revealed."

A rep for Tatum has yet to confirm the report.

Cooper was recently asked how he felt about this year's pick at the AFI premiere of new movie 'Silver Linings Playbook."

When asked if he was ready to give up the "Sexiest Man Alive" crown, Bradley joked, "I'm gonna cry."

Cooper suggested the nod be handed to his "Hangover" co-star Zach Galifianakis.

"He should be [the next Sexiest Man Alive]," Cooper said of his bearded portly friend.

MTV News unveiled images from one of Tatum's upcoming films,"White House Down."

The thriller also stars Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, James Woods, and Richard Jenkins.

The film focuses on a single dad/Secret Service agent (Tatum) who must save the President (Foxx) after a takeover in the White House.

The movie is directed by Roland Emmerich ("The Day After Tomorrow," "Independence Day") . The script was written by James Vanderbilt ("The Amazing Spider-Man," "Zodiac").

"White House Down" will arrive in theaters on June 28th, 2013.
