Leprechauns, calendar girls, clowns, acrobats and "a whole lot of skin" was seen on the runway at this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which took place on Nov. 7.

As one of the world's biggest runway shows, the event is attended by celebrities from around the world. Not only does Victoria's Secret debut pieces created exclusively for the show on their supermodels, or otherwise known as Angels, but the night is also filled with musical performers that the brand tries to top every year.

The concert-like fashion show took place this year in New York City's Lexington Armory.

The show airs on Dec. 4 on CBS but Enstarz went behind the scenes as the transformation began with teams of hairstyles and make-up artists who turned the models in Victoria Secret Angels before they hit the runway.

This year's $2.5 million Floral Fantasy bra, created by London Jewelers of New York, was worn by supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio. Unlike years before, the bra comes with a belt and a diamond-encrusted perfume bottle cover. The bra features two detachable flower pins, and a drop centerpiece that has a 20-carat white diamond, a 12-carat white diamond and a 21-carat pear-shaped ruby. All three items in the Fantasy set together rank up a total of $3 million, according to a London Jewelers spokesperson.

It took over 150 hours to make the handset bra and it has 186 carats of stones in it, all handpicked. The set includes amethysts, tsavorite, sapphires, rubies, and white, pink and yellow diamonds, all set in 18 carat rose or yellow gold.

London Jewelers also did all the jewelry for the show.

The fashion show is broken up into different sections each with a different theme. This year, a Calendar Girls section gave each model a month to represent. For example, December's model dressed as Mrs. Santa Claus, for April Showers the model wore rain boots and the March model was a leprechaun.

The Floral Fantasy set prompted floral-inspired outfits for the Angels in Bloom section, which included pieces encrusted with gemmed flowers, wings made out of flowers and lots of pinks, reds and greens. In another part of the show, Silver Screen Angels, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Swarovski, each outfit was adorned with millions of diamonds and crystals.

Many new models stormed the catwalk, and some accustomed Angels were eager to put their wings back on.  

"I'm excited to wear those wings. I have two pairs of incredible wings and it's just gonna be fun to get out there and be an angel," said Karlie Kloss, 20.

Kloss debuted at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last year, where she walked in the runway's superhero, aquatic and PINK sections.  

The model said viewers on Dec. 4 can expect to see lots of skin and "the music is going to be amazing," with performances by Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber and Rihanna, who Kloss said is one of her personal favorites.

Rihanna wore a pink lace outfit and pink ankle boots on stage during one performance, and a long black gown that had a corset top, with a high slit for another. She also added black lace gloves and a pearl choker to the mix. Justin Bieber opened the show and later performed again during the PINK section, where model Jessica Hart, 26, said she wore she her personal favorite outfit, though she would not disclose details before the show started.

Starring in her first Victoria's Secret show this year, though she has modeled for the label before, the Australian model said Victoria's Secret created a night full of amazing outfits, props, and styles, adding, "I think it's one of their best years."

The night also included Cirque du Soleil and circus opening acts. 

Commenting on the night's performers, Hart said, "I love Rihanna to get in the mood for anything. I think her music is awesome, its always so upbeat. And I just love Justin Bieber. And he's gonna be on stage when we come out so that's exciting."

Bieber got the crowd wild during his PINK performance and the singer also did an a capella number. More than one model admitted to being a fan of the "Boyfriend" singer's, and model Lilly Aldridge posted on Twitter "I have Bieber fever!"

Aldridge's good friend and the godmother of her daughter, Erin Heatherton, was getting ready for the event fresh off her split from actor Leonardo DiCaprio. She told reporters that she was having the best time at the show and that she could not feel more beautiful.

She said she finds attractive in a guy,  "A big heart, sense of humor and just being real, honesty."

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show will broadcast on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
