Ariana Grande has broken her silence after her split with Big Sean and it seems she’s been holding in some intense feelings for quite awhile.

She took to none other than her Twitter to speak on the split sand shut down double standards when it comes to men and women.

She began by saying that she does not want to be known as Big Sean’s former flame.

In a Honeymoon Diaries video posted Saturday, Grande opens up about a time a reporter wanted to question her “about boys.”

“And I was like, ‘No.’ And they were like, ‘Why?’ And i was like, because I’m not Big Sean’s ex. I’m not [Niall Horan]’s possible new girl. I’m Ariana Grande— and if that’s not interesting enough, don’t talk to me.”

After her comments went viral on the Internet, she took to her Twitter to clear up her comments but also set the record straight that most people have different views when it comes to men and women in relationships.

“what I meant when I said what I said about not being Sean’s ex is that I am tired of living in a world where women are mostly referred to as a man’s past, present or future PROPERTY/POSESSION. I..do not. belong. to anyone. but myself. and neither do you.”

She opened up about double standards and wrote, “If a man is seen with a woman…his status is elevated/celebrated.”
