Agents of SHIELD's Cal has a new life - a happy, quiet, peaceful life - but in the world of Marvel, there's always a chance disaster.

'Agents Of SHIELD' Season 3: Henry Simmons Now Series Regular, How Will Mack Handle Simmons' Disappearance?

Once filled with rage and willing to do whatever it took to exact his revenge, Marvel's Jekyll and Hyde doctor settled into an entirely different world at the end of season 2. A participant in the TAHITI program, all of Cal's (Kyle MacLaclan) past sadness, murder, and chaos has been wiped from his mind, leaving him the gentle man he was before HYDRA played Operation on his wife and turned his life upside down.

It may seem like Skye's (Chloe Bennet) father's story has come to an end, but MacLaclan warns viewers that they shouldn't be quite so sure.

'Agents OF SHIELD' Season 3: Luke Mitchell Responds To Series Regular Status; Secret Warriors in Lincoln's Future?

"I was sort of expecting as we got closer to the end that he was going to go out in a big ball of fire or whatever. That wasn't the case. They found the way to sort of give him a life and left the door open," MacLaclan told Zap2It, stating that "there have been no conversations about" his return, but "it's not outside the realm of possibility."
