Demi Moore might be following in her daughter's footsteps and joining ABC's Dancing With the Stars.

After Rumer Willis won Dancing With the Stars this spring, Moore might be looking to join as a competitor next season.

"She thinks DWTS will reinvigorate her lagging career," a supposed insider told Star Magazine recently, according to HollywoodLife.

However, the insider also said that Willis isn't exactly thrilled with the concept of her mother competing right after her.

"Rumer doesn't get why her mom, who's already an A-list star, needs to try to outshine her," the source said, adding that she might even want to be paired up with Willis' partner, Val Chmerkovskiy.

"It's a little annoying for Rumer," the source said, "but this is the first project she's seen her mom get excited about in years, and she wants her to be happy."

While there is no real confirmation if Moore wants to compete, she reportedly said previously that if Willis were to win her season then she would do it.

However, Dancing With the Stars has rarely featured anyone as famous as Moore, so it's not entirely a slam dunk that she would definitely compete. Producers would surely love it though, especially coming off the heels of Willis' big win.

Dancing With the Stars returns with a new season on Monday, Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
