Since her character's departure last fall following a tragic miscarriage, fans have been hoping that Hope Logan would eventually make her way back to the canvas on The Bold and the Beautiful--and now, rumors are flying that she may be back for a hush-hush return this summer.

Kim Matula Reportedly Wants To Make A Return To 'The Bold and the Beautiful'

Following the return of Hope's long-time enemy Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and her renewed efforts to once again be with Liam (Scott Clifton), despite his relationship with Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer), speculation has begun to form that Hope would also soon head back to town to also stir up trouble within the crazy complicated love story with those three and Hope's ex-husband, Wyatt (Darin Brooks).

Hope's name has been dropped more often since Steffy's return, as Wyatt has worked towards making a move to be with her--insisting several times that he was done feeling the heartbreak that came with the end of his marriage. Her name popping up so much has led fans to wonder if the show's writers are preparing them for an appearance later this summer--one which has yet to be officially announced.

Hope Makes An Appearance By Video Chat

If Hope does make an appearance again with actress Kim Matula once again portraying the role, it could be an interesting addition to the story. With Liam and Ivy potentially headed down the aisle to prevent her deportation back to Australia, and Steffy possibly healing her broken heart over time with Wyatt, Hope would find herself back in L.A. without the two men who used to fight over her once again pining for a romance. However, depending on if the rumored return is for a small arc of episodes (Matula briefly returned for two episodes in April), or if it based on a more permanent status, that could all change, as the three women start to war over the two men that have captured all of their hearts.

There has been no official comment on a potential Kim Matula return.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
