A respected broadcast journalist was arrested for the second time during her career after causing a two-car collision from driving under the influence.

FOX 5 news anchor Amanda Davis was arrested for driving under the influence near Atlanta, Ga. on Sunday, Nov.11.

According to an Atlanta Police Department report obtained by the company she works for, Fox 5 News, the two-car accident occurred at 12:20 am.

Atlanta Police Sgt. Gregory Lyon said Davis was arrested on Piedmont Avenue near 14th Street. Davis was  driving her greem Fiat car northbound in a southbound lane until it hit a black Toyota head-on.

"Upon speaking with both drivers, the officer noticed an odor of alcohol emanating from Ms. Davis' person," Sgt. Lyon said in a statement. "He asked her if she had been drinking, to which she did respond in the affirmative."

While Davis allegedly declined to take a field sobriety test and the State Administered Chemical Test, a DUI officer found enough evidence to arrest her.

Davis was also charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain lane in addition to driving under the influence. Davis was taken to jail and her license was confiscated, according to Lyon.

The incident is not the first legal run-in for the veteran news anchor, Davis was also arrested for driving under the influence, speeding and failing to maintain lane back in December 1991.
