EA announced the next Star Wars: The Old Republic expansion yesterday at its E3 press conference, titled Kings of the Fallen Empire.

Watch Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Multiplayer Debut Trailer

A debut trailer was shown during EA's keynote, and an extended version can be seen below. It features more of the fantastic CGI we saw for the MMO's initial debut, which (while not indicative of real gameplay) would honestly make great full-length movies on their own.

Bioware discussed how one of the major pieces of fan feedback has consistently been that they want to see more story-driven gameplay, and that's what the team is attempting to provide with Kings of the Fallen Empire. The trailer depicts two young force users growing up with one another under an unknown empire. They develop their force powers and saber skills alongside one another, always clad in white and black, before eventually coming head to head with one another.

New Destiny Expansion Revealed At E3

The extended trailer certainly has more of a resolution than the shorter version shown during the press conference, and it definitely raises some questions. It definitely seems like a cool setup, though, and it will be interesting to see where Bioware takes it. There is a noted emphasis on the story here, so unless Bioware fails to deliver on that promise, these characters will be central to the gameplay in the expansion. Enjoy the great cinematic trailer below--Knights of the Fallen Empire will be available October 2015.
