Electronic music producer and DJ Deadmau5 is no longer dating Kat Von D, star of TLC's reality show "LA Ink."

Both Deadmau5 and Kat Von D took to their social media accounts to acknowledge the break up and comment on their side of the story.

Deadmau5 remarked on the split on his official Facebook page, taking responsibility for the break up and saying he hopes to analyze what happened in an effort to better understand it.

"Going to spend a little while screwing my head back on," he wrote. "i guess I'm not cut out for relationships right now. and that's all i really want to dwell on it right now. ill figure it out. no hard feelings."

Kat Von D was particularly blunt about her relationship status on her Twitter account, posting, "Clarification: Deadmau5 and I are no longer together."

The tattoo artist went on to say that splitting from the DJ was hard, but that his actions made it easy.

"Man, I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no brainer to break that off. #lessonlearned," she tweeted. "Man..I can't say I didn't give it my best."

Kat Von D also added that some acquaintances had told her the relationship wouldn't last, and now she knows they were right.

"Now, we can get all of the 'I told you so's' outta the way...And move on," she wrote.

It seems appropriate that the stars would air their feelings about the split on social media, as Deadmau5 announced the relationship when it began on his Twitter account.

"Yeah, im love... inb4 I find a f--- to give over the Internet implodes over it ;) at least I'm happy! Lol," he wrote at the time.
