After Kristen Stewart was supposedly "outed" by her mother in a recent interview, the reporter who spoke to her had something to say about the quotes that are rumored to be false.

Jules Stewart, the mom of the Twilight star, previously spoke with Sunday Mirror where she reportedly called Alicia Cargile the "girlfriend" of Kristen.

"What's not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She's happy," the quote from Jules says.

But then it was later announced in Us Weekly that Kristen's mom did not say this about her daughter- she claims that the actress wasn't discussed at all.

At this point though, the conversation seems to be going in both directions ever since BuzzFeed contacted Sharon Feinstein- the reporter who spoke to Jules- on Twitter. When she was asked about this, Feinstein wrote a message that says she "stands by every word of the story. Feinstein also claimed that the interview was taped, according to BuzzFeed's Tuesday report.

So right now, it remains unclear on what Jules really said in this interview. Did she really confirm that her daughter was dating Cargile? Or, was this never discussed?

Whatever happened, BuzzFeed made it clear that whether Kristen is dating her "gal pal" or not, there doesn't need to be a big announcement over it.

"There must be a new way- a way for same-sex couples (famous ones, yes, but maybe everyone) not to have to announce themselves constantly, or to make outmoded, outdated declarations," the site wrote. "The burden shouldn't always be on LGBT public figures to state the obvious."
