Phillips, who plays Henry Standing Bear on Longmire, is currently in production on the show's fourth season, but he took a little time to speak with TV Guide about his absolute favorite episode of the show.

The actor said that his "can't miss episode" is season 3, episode 3: Miss Cheyenne.

"Our show truly elevates Native American culture, and this episode is a good illustration of that," Phillips explained. "It's about a murder connected to the Miss Cheyenne beauty pageant, which is not a typical pageant. It's also an illuminating hour for my character. [Henry's reservation friend] May has a beautiful speech about who he is. As she puts it, Henry is 'a Standing Bear that never runs, one who will always defend his people.' Across the Twitterverse, you could hear the sniffles."

Longmire writer Tony Tost posted a photo of the TV Guide article for all to see. It can be seen below.

Longmire has had a stable year compared to last year, when it was shockingly cancelled by A&E after three seasons. The show's diehard fans launched an epic Twitter campaign that helped save the show as Netflix picked it up a few months later, renewing it for a 10-episode fourth season. The cast and crew are currently nearing the end of production on season 4.

Longmire season 4 is scheduled for release in the fall on Netflix, though the streaming site has not yet announced a specific release date.
