Filming for season 11 will begin on July 7, according to YVR Shoots, and will conclude on April 20. These dates, of course, are always subject to change.

For San Diego Comic-Con attendees hoping to get a glimpse of the Darkness, this filming schedule comes as bad news. With only four shooting days ahead of the series' typical Sunday appearance, it seems unlikely that Supernatural will have a clip ready a la last year's terrifying look at Demon Dean (Jensen Ackles).

"We put together a great gag reel this year that is pretty funny," post-production producer Todd Aronauer told Supernatural Wiki. "It'll be something that I'm sure the fans will get a huge kick out of."
