Before RuPaul's Drag Race announced the winner for Season 7, one of the former queens from the series pointed out what it's going to take to be on the show especially when it comes to winning.

Sharon Needles, who won the race in Season 4, spoke to reporter Damiana Garcia on the red carpet at the RuPaul's Drag Race season finale event in Los Angeles where she opened up on how contestants are looking up to her as an icon. In a video posted on Monday, Needles mentioned that the reason why she's an icon is because she works hard.

"When Ru said, 'You better work,' I took that very, very seriously," Needles said. "And this is no walk in the park."

The drag performer then dished on what it takes to achieve fame, something that doesn't exist in her perspective.

"Fame I say is the last Santa Claus. It's the last thing adults believe is real and it isn't," Needles said. "Fame is just being recognized all over the world. It's the hard work you put into it that at the end of the day it really pays off."

Needles revealed that she is "Team Drag" so she didn't have a favorite in mind for last season, but if she was forced to make a decision, then she was Team Ginger. Violet Chachki ended up taking the crown.
