The NCIS: Los Angeles writers are ready to dive into season 7.

'NCIS: LA' Season 7: Why Will Tony DiNozzo Partner With Callen's Team? Cast Hints At Premiere

It's that time of year again, when the days get longer and most TV shows are gearing up for the start of July filming.

NCIS: LA, however, shot two season 7 episodes in April and May, and is eying a later start to production. The CBS drama generally doesn't reconvene until August, and the series' writers are still busy penning fall's early episodes. As Dave Kalstein, Joe Wilson, and Kyle Harimoto start to weave new stories the OPS team, the trio wanted to know what fans are hoping to see next.

'NCIS: LA' Spoilers: What's Standing Between Nell & Eric? Renee Smith Teases Season 7 Neric

"Popular suggestions from NCIS: LA fans: 1) stories w/ full team, 2) canon consistency, 3) Densi, 4) Callen, and...5) Deeks's mom? Luv u guys," Harimoto tweeted on Sunday after pursuing the results.

So, how likely are fans to get what they want? Based on past history and recent comments from the cast, we've ranked the results from most likely to least likely.

1st Place (Tie): Stories With The Full Team & Canon Consistency
The LA team has a tendency to break off into to person teams (that's what partners are for, right?), but each season always puts Callen (Chris O'Donnell), Sam (LL Cool J), Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) together at some point.

Canon consistency became a major issue during last spring's "Rage." Callen and Hetty's timeline became slightly twisted during that episode, but, based on the outcry from fans, it's probably not a mistake that will happen again. Also, who is Deeks' aunt, particularly since he claims to have no next of kin?

2nd Place: Densi
Considering Deek's impending LAPD internal affairs investigation, it looks like the partners' romance will continue to be placed front and center. However, the series ended the season on an entirely different note as it took on No. 3 on our list...

3rd Place: Callen
G Callen's was the series' enigma from day 1, and the agent is finally getting the answers he has been searching for.

"We ended [season 6] on Callen's father...or is it Callen's father?" Barrett Foa (Eric teased at MCM London Comic Con, according to Red Carpet News TV. "There are some cool things I think are going to be revealed about our main guy who really has been searching for some answers to his family."

4th Place: Deeks' Mom
It is well known that Deeks shot his abusive father back when he was a pre-teen, but the detective has never revealed how his childhood played out from that point. The introduction of Deeks' mother was teased ahead of season 5 but never panned out. As mentioned above, it was established in "Personal" that he has no living relatives (or none he wants to list as next of kin), so it would be interesting to see how the story could weave Mama Deeks into the story.
