The Disney Channel is adding a fun, new live-action comedy to its roster of television shows come Friday, June 26!

Best Friends Whenever is about two besties, Shelby (Lauren Taylor) and Cyd (Landry Bender), who have an aspiring scientist friend named Barry (Gus Kamp) whose latest invention becomes muddled, causing the besties to obtain the power to leap forward and backward in time whenever they want.

Shelby and Cyd don't have the time travel mastered so it'll be an interesting journey. The girls will have to decide between seeing glimpses of the future or correcting mistakes in the past. Meanwhile, Barry and his assistant, Naldo (Forever In Your Mind's Ricky Garcia), try to figure out how to replicate time travel for themselves.

The girls will use their newfound time travel powers to navigate life through high school and dealing with Shelby's mischievous twin brothers, Bret (Benjamin Royer) and Chet (Matthew Royer).

There are some rules that come with the time travel though as seen in the video below. As previously stated, they are the only two who can time travel. They have to be touching in order to time travel and they have to think of the time and place they want to travel to.

The first episode, A Time to Travel, of this comedy will air after Teen Beach 2 on Disney Channel.

According to the press release for the premiere episode, Garcia's bandmate Emery Kelly will appear in it as Shelby's crush Cameron. Shelby will try to ask him to the school dance, but her plans will keep going awry.
