Former professional football player Aaron Hernandez is currently serving a life sentence in prison without the possibility of parole since he was convicted of first-degree murder of Odin Lloyd back in April.

Was A Juror 'Untruthful' During Jury Selection For Aaron Hernandez's Murder Trial In The Odin Lloyd Case?

Since then, Hernandez's lawyers have been working toward appealing the conviction especially since earlier this month they filed certain motions about the trial being unfair due to a juror on the panel.

FOX 25 reported at the time that Hernandez's legal team believes one of the jurors was exposed to information outside of the courtroom, which could have impacted the verdict.

At that time, the filings were sealed, but were unsealed last week according to ESPN via AP. In those filings, which were redacted upon public release, Hernandez's lawyer James Sultan revealed an anonymous tipster called him on April 16, which was the day after his client was convicted.

In the documents, Sultan told the judge that one of the jurors might have been "untruthful" during the jury selection process. The juror in question apparently wanted to be on the panel for Hernandez's case.

Plus, the juror in question apparently knew about the double-homicide Boston case during the jury selection too.

As of Monday, ESPN via AP reported that the judge has banned both counsels from contacting the juror in question.

Superior Court Judge Susan E. Garsh's order prohibits all direct or indirect contact with the juror.
