Jason Statham made an appearance for the launch of the Fast and Furious based theme ride, Supercharged, at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The actor, who played Deckard Shaw in Furious 7, spoke to Access Hollywood on the red carpet talking about Furious 7's immense success.

"Yeah, it just shows the fanbase is very unique. They really do relate to the characters. They love these characters. They've followed them for years and years," Statham said.

The actor also talked his excitement at returning for the next movie in the franchise.

"We're already talking about doing another one, Part 8. I'm a newcomer, I just got invited to the party on this last one. It is nice to know I'll be doing another."

While Statham was careful about not giving away any spoilers he did admit to the fact that he knew about some of the storylines in the plot for Fast and Furious 8, saying, "there is some great stuff that I already know about."

Statham had revealed that he would be coming back in an interview with Den of Geek last month. The pop culture website caught up with Statham while he was promoting his new release Spy, which also stars Jude Law and Melissa McCarthy, and is directed by Paul Feig. While talking about his filming schedule the actor revealed that he had to plan it according to the production dates for Fast and Furious 8. "There's Fast 8, they want to do another one," he said. In Furious 7 Deckard was set on avenging his brother Ian Shaw's death. The actor also told the publication that he will be working on Crank 3.

Fast and Furious 8 will be released on April 15, 2017.

Furious 7 hit theaters on April 3, 2015.
