'X Factor' Eliminations: Lyric 145 and Garcia Sent Home, Taylor Swift Performs 'State of Grace'

The "X Factor" elimination show tonight featured shocking results towards the end of the show when one of Demi Lovato's Young Adults group was sent home.

Simon Cowell's hip-hop band Lyric 145 were the first to be eliminated Thursday night. The unpredictable moment came when Lovato had to chose between singers Jennel Garcia and Rihanna look-alike Paige Thomas, who had wowed judges Britney Spears and L.A. Reid with her last performance tonight.

Spears and Reid had cast their votes against rocker Garcia and Cowell refused to cast his vote until Lovato made up her mind first.

"The act that I'm sending home tonight is...", Lovato said. "Paige." 

But Cowell cast his vote for Paige.

"The act I believe has got the best star potential...The act I'm going to send home is Jennel," he said.

Interviewed by co-host Khloe Kardashian, Garcia said.

"I'm just happy that I've come so far... Thank you," she told Lovato as both of them cried.

Taylor Swift performed her single "State of Grace" on tonight's show and offered a piece to the "X Factor" contestants.

"My advice would be, no matter how tired you are, no matter what bad day you're having, be nice to people," Swift said.

With Lyric 145 and Garcia's elimination, only 10 contestants remain in the talent show.
