They both need one another for wildly different reasons, and those needs could cause 'Denise' (Maura West) and Franco (Roger Howarth) to form an unlikely alliance on General Hospital.

Ava Shocks Silas

'Denise', who is really Ava in disguise has been having trouble with keeping her new identity as her own fake twin sister a secret, especially when she gets around Morgan (Bryan Craig) and the two give in to the passion they once shared. In an effort to keep herself distracted from giving herself away by being with him (a move that would be deemed suspicious since Ava was also involved with Morgan), she attempted to enlist Silas (Michael Easton) in a romantic relationship--but was shot down.

Now, while at the Metro Court to catch up with Kiki (Hayley Erin) and 'meet' Carly (Laura Wright) for the first time, she will be presented with an unexpected solution to her problem when Nina

Silas Confronts Denise

(Michelle Stafford) approaches and asks her about her relationship with Franco (Roger Howarth).

"Are you or are you not dating Franco?" Nina asks in a preview clip for the Friday, June 26 episode.

Franco would also benefit from the situation if 'Denise' (he is unaware it is really Ava in disguise as well), covers for the lie he told Nina about them dating. He has been trying to convince Nina since their break-up that Ric (Rick Hearst) only married her for her money but has had no success at convincing her of that--and is trying a new approach to now make her jealous by insisting he too has moved on.

Now, if he and 'Denise' do team up, they can each work together to try and protect the ones they love.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
