Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones might have had their ups and downs, but it looks like nothing can break them apart--not even comments he made about oral sex a few years ago. The Hollywood actor says he regrets any embarrassment he caused his wife when he discussed oral sex and how he got throat cancer a few years ago.

The couple temporarily split up back in 2013 before getting back together again and working on their marriage. While Douglas was dealing with his cancer scare, Zeta-Jones was diagnosed as being bi-polar.

"It was one of those things...and I so regretted any embarrassment that it caused Catherine," he shared with Event Magazine this week. "And her family."

He continued, "We had a little bump in the road. The problem in this business is that everything is so public.

The couple, who are raising their two children Dylan and Carys together, rarely make any public appearances together, but when they do it's usually with a united front on the red carpet.

"I love Catherine as much, more than I ever have," the Hollywood icon continued. "And hopefully the feeling's mutual."

He added, "We worked things out-if both people want to work something out and make it better, you can do it. You can't do it if it's just one person."
