New Samsung Galaxy S4 rumors have speculated about the device’s specs, features and release date, with new rumors stating that the smartphone will include a 1080p 4.99-inch Super AMOLED display.

It has been touted that Samsung will confirm various specs and unveil their new screen at the beginning of 2013 at the Consumer Electronics Show. Rumors are suggesting that the new displays will feature a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a pixel density of 441 ppi - twice as many pixels on the iPhone.

For many users, the camera is one of the most important features on their smartphone, and rumors suggest that the Galaxy S4 will have a 13-megapixel camera.

This is said to be one of the main reasons that Samsung is releasing the Galaxy S4 so soon after its Galaxy S3. It has been rumored that the company had originally planned to include the 13-megapixel camera in the S3, but the Korean-based company was urgent to release the device to exploit its marketing window in 2012. That meant releasing it with a still impressive 8-megapixel camera, but means the higher level 13-megapixel camera has been kept back for the S4.

A 13-megapixel camera would be able to snap photos with a 4208 x 3120 resolution.

In other rumors the Samsung Galaxy S4 will feature a quad-core Exynos 5450 chipset with 2.0GHz. A similar chipset is featured in Samsung's next Nexus 10 tablet. In that device the Exynos 5250 is featured.

The smartphone release date is scheduled for 2013, although an exact date has not been touted yet.
