Ryan Murphy Reveals Surprising Twist About 'Scream Queens'

On Monday, Hollywood Life posted an interview with series creator Ryan Murphy who said that he tried to get the pop-country icon to be in the horror comedy series, but she turned it down due to her busy schedule.

"I love Taylor Swift. I go after Taylor Swift for everything that I do. I have great affection for her," Murphy said. "And she's always been so nice about giving me stuff. And I think she's great. I would love to work with her. I actually called her people about her for this, but she had already booked a tour, and I said, just do one episode, but she couldn't even do that. But some day because I'm a big fan."

Emma Roberts Reveals Why Everyone Should Watch 'Scream Queens'

Despite the fact that fans won't see Swift as a potential victim in the series, a number of other big names will be there. This includes Emma Roberts, Abigail Breslin, Nick Jonas, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lea Michele- someone Murphy was especially excited for.

"I just thought, wouldn't it be fun to see Lea play something completely non glamorous and weird?" the creator said. "And you'll see in the second episode of all the characters, she's obsessed with death. She's the one that wants to go in and touch the dead body."

Scream Queens premieres this fall on FOX.
