One of the stars of Blue Bloods opened up on the strong connection she shares with her fellow cast members.

What Were The Odds Of 'Blue Bloods' Getting A Renewal?

On Tuesday, Phil Star shared an interview with Bridget Moynahan who plays Erin Reagan on the series. She mentioned that due to all the time she's spent with her co-stars over the last five years, they turned into one happy family.

"I would say that being on this ensemble for this amount of time definitely brings everyone together," Moynahan said. "You know, we live together for nine months a year, basically, working together. And we spend much time together that people have, you know, gotten sick, have gotten married, have had babies and we kinda all celebrate this different part of life together on weekly basis."

'Blue Bloods' Gets Renewed For A Sixth Season

As the series moves into its sixth season, the actress mentioned one of the biggest challenges that may be relevant in future episodes.

"I think the biggest challenge is trying to keep the work fresh. And you know, being on an ensemble, every script is different so sometimes my character might work a little bit and then, sometimes, it might work a lot," she said. "So it goes to this ebb and flow of the material. And when you get the opportunity to have a juicier storyline on a certain episode, you just really dive into it and really try to make the most of it."

Blue Bloods Season 6 is expected to premiere this fall on CBS.
