'The Flash' Actor Teases A 'Cool Big Bad' Coming To Season 2

On Monday, TV Line gave some new details on what's about to go down in the Season 2 premiere that will pick up right where things left off. After Eddie's death, it's going to create a serious impact.

"[Eddie's death] is definitely a factor, for sure," Grant Gustin, who plays the leading role, said. "Barry wants to be there for Iris as her best friend right now. And for Barry, too. It's too soon for everybody. Some tragic events just took place!"

The site found out some other information as well from executive producer Geoff Johns who mentioned that more characters have yet to be announced. And whoever these people are, they should definitely be watched out for since they'll likely add a good haul of growth and misery in what the others discover.

"There are a lot of new characters coming in, not just the ones that have been leaked online," Johns said. "And they all will challenge relationships, in good and bad ways."

Gustin previously teased in a Collider video at the 41st Annual Saturn Awards that audiences can expect an exciting new villain.

"We're introducing actually a cool big bad that's gonna be revealed kind of immediately, so that'll be really cool," the actor said.

The Flash premieres on Tuesday, October 6 on The CW.
