It's going to be a wild ride when Nashville returns- especially for Will who is about to have an enticing season.

'Nashville' Gets Renewed For A Fourth Season

On Tuesday, the writers' Twitter page announced how glad they were to have Chris Carmack (Will) stop by to see them; they also mentioned that the character's storyline in the fourth season of the ABC drama will be "juicy."

While they didn't mention anything beyond that, it's already pretty clear that Will is going to face more challenges ever since he publicly announced his homosexuality.

Carmack previously spoke to Rolling Stone about how despite his character coming out, the drama doesn't end there for Will.

"It's all gumdrops and unicorns from here on out, right? Living in a fairytale land in the clouds. Uh, no," the actor said. "I think being out is something that was very important for Will to do because it was important for him as an individual. He has removed a roadblock from his own life and his own pursuit of happiness."

With that being said though, Carmack explained why Will declaring that he is an openly gay man has created a much more positive atmosphere.

"Being out publicly was the right choice in terms of his own ability to live with himself and pursue a meaningful life," he said. "He had lied for so long. It's one thing to not tell the whole truth to the world. That's somebody's own decision; they can do whatever they want. But he had lied and it had eaten him up. He needed to change that."

Nashville Season 4 premieres this fall on ABC.
