After a year of discussing their marriage troubles in countless magazines and on several reality shows, Kendra Wilkinson & Hank Baskett have finally opened up with the truth about what happened between him and transsexual model Ava Sabrina London last Spring.

In an interview with People Magazine, Baskett finally revealed the events behind the scandal that wrapped around the couple's marriage and family life over the course of the last year, and admitted that he never engaged in any sort of activity with London, but contact did occur.  

Baskett old the magazine that everything started after he encountered a couple in a grocery store parking lot who were smoking marijuana, whom he approached to see if he could buy some. He was given a phone number to call, and later an address, and when he showed up at the residence, he was shocked when he emerged after using the restroom and saw something he never believed he'd ever witness.

"I saw something I thought I would never see in my life," he said.  

Baskett then says that the woman who had answered the door, who was transgender, had since stripped nude and was making out with another transgender woman, before walking over to him and fondling him through his basketball shorts. 

"I froze. I didn't engage in anything," he said. "It was like a bank robbery. You never know when you'll freeze/ I don't know if it was a couple of seconds or 15 seconds, because all I was saying was get out, get out, get out." 

As for why he never actually admitted to what happened, Baskett credited his past as an NFL star for making him feel shameful and humiliated about the incident. 

"I was this big former football player. I was the alpha male. I could do anything to protect my family, but I couldn't protect myself." 

Baskett also vehemently denies that the incident occurred after he specifically sought out London after finding her photos online, or that mutual masturbation took place that day.  

"It's hard to defend yourself when people are making up lies," he said. "You never know what someone is going to make up [next.]." 

Wilkinson also opened up in the interview, revealing how she went from spiraling out of control (she says she went ballistic at the time) with her emotions when news first broke of the incident, to eventually becoming more understanding of what happened, which allowed the pair to work on fixing their marriage after the incident. 

"Hank was very naïve and gullible. He thinks everybody is his friend. That led him to the hell that we've lived," she said.  

Wilkinson also says she won't say Baskett cheated on her now because of the nature of the incident, and even admits that she would have handled things in a way that was similar to how Baskett did.  

"I don't say the word 'cheat.' I can say he was not loyal to me. I don't care about the act. I care about how he reacted to it and how I was told by the media what happened. That scarred me," she said. 

Now that the truth is out, Baskett says he feels extremely different about how everything played out. 

"I have a huge weight lifted off my shoulders," he says. "I feel extremely free."
