Taylor Schilling still has trouble dealing with anxiety despite starring in Netflix's beloved series Netflix's Orange Is the New Black.

Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman on Orange Is the New Black, spoke with Glamour U.K. (via Belfast Telegraph) recently and revealed her thoughts on adapting to the world of comedy.

"I wasn't specifically looking for someone different to Piper, but it's a thrill it ended up that way, even though that wasn't my intention. I'm not used to the comedy world, so everyone's ability to keep a straight face in certain scenes was amazing to me. I do a good job of that part," she said.

Being on a huge hit TV show hasn't necessarily subsided her anxiety, though she admitted that it has helped.

"I struggle with anxiety and fear. Both of those things can be hard. Career success has helped, but these things are internal - the external doesn't fix everything," she explained.

Piper is a very divisive character in the Orange Is the New Black, with people either loving her or hating her. While she clearly has flaws, Schilling is able to get into the psyche of her character.

"She's trying. She's not stuck in her ways and she's really looking for a way to be... She's looking for some truths," Schilling said, of PIper. "I can relate to her; that feeling of how in these circumstances can I adjust; how can I bring more parts of myself to the table. That's what Piper's doing."

Ultimately, this is what Orange Is the New Black is about - coming to terms with your flaws and your fears and still finding the positive.

Orange Is the New Black season 3 is now available on Netflix, in addition to the previous released first two seasons.
