Pretty Little Liars will say goodbye to the Red Coat in "Game Over, Charles."

'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6: Charles' Homecoming Planned, Is Alison's Brother Really Alive?

The striking jacket has haunted rosewoods Liars for seasons now, but it appears the discovery of 'A' will put an end to its eerie career. Showrunner Marlene King announced the departure following filming for the summer finale.

So, does this mean Red Coat is 'A'? The ABC Family show has fans thoroughly confused as to whether or not 'A' is male or female, and Red Coat has always been portrayed as someone of the female persuasion. It's looking more and more like Charles DiLaurentis is dead and buried, a fact which bumps Lesli Stone (Elizabeth McLaughlin) into contention for the murderous title.

However, 'Charles' will apparently make plans visit dear old dad and his little siblings during episode 7, "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou." This could either be a cleaver ploy by the real 'A' (someone who is clearly adept at identity theft) or Alison and Jason could be in for the reunion of a lifetime.

Despite Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and CeCe's (Vanessa Ray) previous connection to the jacket, could the Red Coat belong to Hanna (Ashley Benson), Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), and Spencer's (Troian Bellisario) relentless tormentor? Sound off in the poll below!
