Retailers and customers in alike are gearing up for the biggest sales event of the year - Black Friday. Many consumers in America are waiting until this time of year to purchase the hottest electronic gadgets at the lowest price. 

One such company to offer discounts is Apple. Apple does not normally have sale events throughout the year except for Black Friday - so for those who have been eyeing an Apple product this past year - this week is the time to take advantage of the discounts. The iPad, iPod, Macbook Pro and iMacs are expected to be discounted 

The Apple sale will not only take place online and in-stores in America, but internationally as well. In Apple's Australian online store, the company stated: "The one-day Apple shopping event is Friday, 23 November. Get ready to give. Shop online or visit your favorite Apple Retail Store. We'll help you make the most of the day, no matter how you shop."

The iPad 2 is expected to be discounted ranging from $41 to $61 off. The iPod Nano will be offered with an $11 discount, and iPod Touch will be discounted between $21 to $41 off depending on the model. 

The Macbook Air and Macbook Pro will be discounted up to a whopping $101, and iMacs up to $101 off as well. 

Third-party retailers such as Walmart are also expected to offer iPad sales. 

Apple Products which will not be discounted are the iPad Minis, 4th generation iPads, and iPhones. 

The 4th generation iPad comes with the latest A6X chip and a lightning port which is set to be the fastest iPad on the market.
