There Will Be 'More Backstabbing' When 'Reign' Returns

On Tuesday, E! News announced that a pirate named Martin will be coming aboard the series. He is described as a "sexy and erotic" man who will create enticing drama in the French Court. He also apparently has a thing for "highborn ladies" although he claims to be looking for a woman to marry. But it seems pretty doubtful that a pirate in the French Court can be trusted.

A lot has been going on in the CW royal drama, one of them including Queen Elizabeth joining the series. Her presence is bound to bring some crazy scandals based on what Jonathan Keltz (Leith) previously told Enstars.

'Reign' Season 3 Gets Official Premiere Date

"Season three is going to bring a lot," the actor said. "It's already been written about and we have an Elizabeth joining the show and that alone is going to change what it is that we see in the world that we [already] see...I think there are definitely some really exciting times ahead for the gang."

Keltz also dished on what it is about his own character that he admires.

"There is a determined self-sacrifice for love," he said. "This guy is doing everything he can to be with the woman that he loves and to make that happen in what he thinks is her dream and his dream from the beginning...he's lost sight of where they are now versus where they were when they first started and I think that they're different people so there will be reconciling that has to happen."

Reign Season 3 premieres on Friday, October 9 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
