A new report has finally revealed some official information relating to season 7 of The Good Wife.

The Good Wife Renewed For Two More Seasons?

TVLine reported that the title of the premiere will be Grunts and that a new character will be introduced in the episode. Cary Agos Lee will be getting a new associate, Dirk, who "intends to make his presence felt at the firm." There is no information on who will be playing Dirk yet.

Previously it was revealed that Cush Jumbo will be joining the cast of The Good Wife for season 7. E! Online reported that Jumbo will have a recurring role on the legal drama, but nothing has been revealed about her character yet. In the past the actress has worked on Getting On and Torchwood, and also co-starred with Hugh Jackman in the Broadway adaptation of The River.

Elsbeth Set To Return In Season 7

This move made sense, as the show lost a pivotal character this season with Archie Panjabi, who played Kalinda Sharma, making her exit. Also, Jess Weixler, who played the sub-detective Robyn, has not been seen too much. It seems like Jumbo might have been cast to fill the void some.

In an interview at the PaleyFest with the creators Michelle and Robert King, TVLine got information on the curious case of the missing Robyn. The Kings assured fans that Robyn was very much in the house, and she had not been appearing on the show as Weixler was away auditioning for something else in Los Angeles.

"They never let her out," Robert said. "The secret obviously is that Jess Weixler is in L.A. and going out on auditions," he added. "We didn't want to lose her or kill her off because we love the actress so much."

The next chapter of the legal drama is set to premiere on CBS on Sunday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m.

The season 6 finale, entitled 'Wanna Partner?' aired on CBS on May 10.
