They've known they would be enemies for some time, but now, the official battle between Clyde Weston (James Read) and Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) may begin as the two men finally come face-to-face for the first time on Days of Our Lives.  

Ben Struggles With Abigail's Betrayal

The two were unable to meet before because Stefano wasn't allowed to be back in Salem until the tax evasion charges against him were dropped. But now that he's back, he will finally come meet the man who has already been able to control the feud with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) and seize control of trucking in the area.  

Clyde will surprise Stefano at the DiMera Estate, a stop he made after learning from Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) that he was back in town--and Clyde may be trying to figure out information about just why there seems to have been issues involving his son and Stefano's when it comes to Abigail (Kate Mansi).  

Stefano Officially Returns To Salem 

Clyde knows from Ben that Abigail and Chad (Billy Flynn) wound up sleeping together, but that that Abigail also swore she only loves Ben, hence the two actually moving in together. When Ben initially overheard the argument between Abigail and Chad where the truth came out though, he also heard Chad yell at Stefano, warning him he wouldn't allow his father to force him and Abigail together. Now, Clyde may be suspicious of just what Stefano must be planning--and he may issue a threat to Stefano to back away and leave his son's happiness alone. 

However, Stefano could have his own ways of trying to deal with Clyde, as he has more powerful resources at his disposal than Clyde may realize, And while Clyde has so far managed to survive the previous attempted assaults on both his and Ben's characters, Stefano may be saving his biggest--and most lethal--attack for last. 

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
