New Character To Replace Felicity In Team Arrow In Season 4?

Most recently the rumor mills let out that Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) might have a baby in season 4. That sounds like a very long and absurd shot, but we are open to any and all kinds of twists with this unpredictable show.

Previously a very non-revelatory synopsis for the season was revealed. It mostly posed the questions that will be answered in the next chapter:

First Look At Season 4 Of Arrow To Be Unveiled At Comic-Con

"After defeating his most formidable foe to date and riding off into the sunset with longtime flame Felicity Smoak, Oliver Queen (a.k.a. The Arrow) left Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life. But will Oliver ever truly be able to leave behind his past as the Arrow, and, if so, what becomes of the team he has worked so hard to assemble? Will Diggle, Thea, and Laurel be left to continue Oliver's crusade without him? And with Malcolm Merlyn having ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra's al Ghul, is anyone really safe?"

The casting team is also working on casting the character replacement for Mayor of Starling City. TVLine revealed that the producers are seeking a 50-something actress to play the character, Patty.

Patty will be a "longtime friend of Moira's" and would have also been close with Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Thea (Willa Holland) at some point in time.

In other news related to season 4, the premiere date for the chapter was finally revealed. Season 4 of the show will begin on Oct. 7. Writing for season 4 of Arrow has begun, and there have been some other interesting developments relating to the show.

The finale of season 3, entitled 'My Name is Oliver Queen,' of Arrow aired on May 13 on The CW.
