Kim Kardashian And Sister Kourtney Get Keys To The City In Miami

The Kardashian sisters continued their quest for world domination today.

Kim Kardashian and older sister Kourtney Kardashian were awarded the keys to the city for North Miami today from Mayor Andre Pierre.

The sisters have been in Miami for the last several months filming the latest season of "Kourtney and Kim Take Miami," one of the Kardashian family's many reality shows for the E! Network.

Mayor Pierre appeared before a large crowd and praised the Kardashians for their personal successes during the ceremony in Miami on Monday.

"What can you say about the Kardashians that we don't already know?" the mayor said. "Three of the hardest working people in the business: Khloe, Kim, and Kourtney ... we are honored by your presence."

Kim took to her Twitter account to remark on the honor and express her deep gratitude for how welcoming the city of Miami has been.

"Going to get the key to the city!!!! Such an honor! Thanks North Miami!" she wrote.

Kim and Kourtney received their keys to the city after returning from a trip across the pond. The sisters visited London last week to promote the latest extension of their clothing line, Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins, which they designed along with their younger sister, Khloe Kardashian.

Kim wrote a post for her Celebuzz profile to gush about her time and London, and she said the launch party for her fashion line was by far the highlight of her experience there.

"The highlight of my trip to London was our signing at Westfield where we met hundreds of our London fans and celebrated the launch of our Kardashian Kollection for Dorothy Perkins," Kardashian wrote. "The turn out was absolutely incredible!! We were all amazed by how many people had lined up for hours to meet us. You were all so sweet and supportive!! Thank you so much to everyone who came out."
