While attempting to chat privately with an unnamed individual on social media, the 52-year-old designer accidentally posted a photo of his bare butt, along with a bit of bulge. Although he quickly deleted the post, Gawker was able to get a screenshot, and days later, Jacobs spoke out.

"Yeah. I accidentally posted a pic of my bare ass and took it down," Jacobs candidly explained, according to a report by Paper Magazine. "I was flirting with someone I met on Instagram. Meant to send it by DM. Oops, my mistake. I apologize to anyone it offended. I'm a gay man. I flirt and chat with guys online sometimes. BIG DEAL!"

Along with the shocking photo, Jacobs teasingly told the man, "It's yours to try."

After news of his accidental sexting went viral, Jacobs addressed the issue on Twitter, along with one of his T-shirts.

Also on Twitter this week, Jacobs responded to the passing of a law, which allowed gays to be married in all 50 states.

Jacobs was most recently linked to Brazilian model Harry Louis, but after two years of dating, the couple called it quits.
