Scotland will be miles away at the start of season 2, but Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) won't be far from the Highlander's mind. Even death can't keep the sadistic red coat at bay.

"It definitely colors [Jamie's] character throughout," showrunner Ron Moore informed Entertainment Weekly. "It's not at the forefront of the story, but it's a pretty big character story for him so the reverberates through [Jamie and Claire's] relationship do carry forward well into the season."

Meanwhile, the Randall name will continue on. Alex Randall (Laurence Dobiesz), Jack's little brother and polar opposite, will enter the picture as the Duke of Sandringham's curate and secretary. From the 19th century to post-war Scotland, those Randall's just keep popping up like daisies.

As for Menzies, it appears the actor will keep his place on the Outlander call sheet, this time simply as Frank.
