Scott McCall may have finally met his match in the form of Teen Wolf's Dread Doctors.

'Supernatural' Season 11: Series Gains A New Female Writer, Find Out Who

MTV dove head first into a new mythology as season 5 kicked off on Monday, and the series' writers wasted no time in introducing viewers to this summer's big bad. Taking on the appearance of steampunk plague doctors, Beacon Hills' next major threat is ready to mix science and the supernatural to create a deadly new breed.

"The three doctors are actually scientists. We describe them as scientists who worship the supernatural and we call them the Dread Doctors," series creator Jeff Davis teased on Wolf Watch. "You're going to learn a lot more about them. They have pretty nefarious plans for the town of Beacon Hills."

There's plenty to learn when it comes to the towering MDs, and Teen Wolf will continue to explore their motives well past the summer finale.

The Dread doctors are really cool because it's the first time we carry on our villains to the next season," Tyler Posey (Scott) told USA Today. "Usually by the end of the season the villains are killed and we resolve everything. This time they carry on into the next season."

Described by Posey as "intellectual, calm and calculated," it seems the Dread Doctors will have McCall's pack running in circles for some time.
