He recently opened up about the pop star's new sound direction. The new sound is not going to be like her smash hits off of Bangerz that released in October 2013.

On Monday, MTV News reported they spoke with the "Wrecking Ball" singer's constant collaborator all about her vision for this upcoming LP.

"We work like yin and yang," the producer dished, adding, "So, we just working on a lot of stuff. We've got like eight or 10 songs recorded. So, we're just gonna pick the best songs to go on the album," while on the red carpet for the BET Awards.

"It's gonna be interesting though," he further shared, explaining, "Her whole sound is switching up. You know what I'm saying? It's crazy."

Cyrus has not released any new, original music since Bangerz dropped. She has however released quite a few covers for her Happy Hippie Presents project.

Four weeks ago the singer did hint that her musical styling was transforming as she teased a shot from an upcoming music video.

 

"Cray music calls for cray videos," she revealed.

Her attire in the shot from the video is rather trippy looking. It's looking like a different vibe than her previous releases. Dare we say it appears funkier?
