After the shocking news was announced that celebrity couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were ending their marriage, it appears that the actress is doing what she can to get by with the people who love her.

On Saturday, People reported that Garner is spending time with good friends who care very deeply for her and want to help in any way they can following the divorce announcement.

"Jen has been leaning on friends," a source told the publication. "She has a close circle of pals who she trusts and are really protective of her. Her girlfriends are really supportive. They just want her to be happy."

Apparently, this group of caring pals includes some of Garner's friends in Hollywood as well as people she's known since she was a kid.

Just one day after their 10-year anniversary, Garner and Affleck released a statement to Us Weekly saying they are splitting up.

"After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce," the statement reads. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding."

The two stars married in June 2005. They are parents to three children: Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.
